Dr Emma Struthers

My family and I moved to Belleville a couple of years ago and we do not have a family physician in the area. I fell ill and had an emergency situation in the spring of 2017, and further testing shows that I needed to see a specialist- a Gynecologist for that matter. Belleville General Hospital recommended that I see Dr. Emma Struthers. I didn't know at the time who she was and I could only hope and pray that she would be able to find out what was wrong with me. It was a scary moment of my life as I have never had the need to see an Obgyn before except when I was pregnant with my only child in 2007. Long story short - I saw Dr. Struthers during my first appointment with her back in September of last year. My first impression was that she was a wonderful doctor! She made me feel comfortable and at ease all the time; her staff Angela was just as equally nice as her. I am really blessed to have her as my doctor and surgeon! I was diagnosed with endometriosis and after presenting me all the options based upon my current situation at the time, with her guidance and knowledge I decided to have a laparoscopic surgery which was scheduled in February of this year. It was indeed a successful surgery and after I saw her in March for my post-surgery appointment, I never again had to see her! It's been 6 months and, thanks be to God, I am feeling great and doesn't seem to have the symptoms anymore! Dr. Emma Struthers, I sincerely thank you for the care I received at your hands and the successful surgery you performed on me in February. You are truly a remarkable and extraordinary doctor!
